22nd February 2011

It was suddenly, with heavy fog appearing in Incheon Island, and hence my flight was canceled by China Souhtern Airline, and as they claimed, this is due to weather (an uncontrollable factor), they washed away the responsibility of providing accommodation to passengers. And the mgr on duty in Incheon Airport says the cancellation was decided by the captain, i repeat, by the captain of China Southern Airlines, and is this not because it was decided by the Airline itself, reason being the aircraft too small to fly in (please take note, 30 mins before that, my colleagues flying off in Korean airlines was taking off safely and many other airlines too). ANd if the are very much service oriented, they can arrange another aircraft, to take the passengers to Shenyang. No, they didnt. ANd the Duty Manager then announced in Korean, that they can offer 30 seats, on first come first served basis, with Korean Airlines, to fly out today, at 10.30am. And imagine how long the queue would be, by the time the message was translated to me. Not only that, the lady on duty, who took my passport and promised to get me a seat did not do so. I went to a Korean air counter to check my seat status in the system, and there was none. And finally, I exchanged my earlier unused ticket from Seoul to Beijing, to Shenyang.
ANd hope I could fly out today.

This airline, again, is hopeless. I remembered, when I used Air China to London, and due to heavy snow (weather again), I was not given any accommodation, whereas China Airlines, where my friend flew off from Taipei, was given one.

CNY Gatherings

One of the busiest CNY around, with Joyce coming back home after so many years being away, and we have quite a number of quality time and days together.

Orange-a must have during CNY, and Flower from Joyce and James.

Niece Kate, in her usual beautiful pose.

A photo I like but was not well taken, a bit not clear

My grown-up nephews and niece.......and very 'big' too

One photo to cherish..........most of us are in.....

A lot of memories to cherish during this CNY and looking forward to more of these gatherings in future. And I am also personally getting ready to leave, as I have less than 24 hours to go, before departing to Beijing........will miss my hometown and all for sure. But that is life, is it not?

Happy Birthday To Me

Another year comes, and another age older/wiser. Just to wish myself a Happy Birthday, and my wishes are, may we have more love among human beings, and may we love our earth more, and may be good health be with us, always.

And thanks to all friends for the Birthday messages, and cakes. From my colleagues in Beijing, and sisters, Nancy, Joyce and from my nieces and Nephews, though having birthday cakes at this age is not my cup of tea, haha:), must be of age. I would love if someone I know for example, getting a CD of a singer I like, haha. But anyway, good wishes is a form of blessing too. I do not want to demand for more.........
And also thanks from Pohjen, Eemee, Ros......for the Birthday wishes..

Happy Birthday.........

Sincerely Yours..........

The 6th Day Of Chinese New Year

Reading for serving...........yummy

Ready for eating, full table display

Keat na, or local lime, a must to get the sour taste

Fried Tau Kua and the kerepek

The gravy, make of sweet potato, and tomato.

We went around to the market in the morning to be some groceries and Nancy was preparing lunch for us all, mee Jawa and I think it was nicely and deliciously prepared. Tasted so good, and I think all of us like them, esp. for Joyce, James and Kate, even though they are the first timers.

Anyway, I think it tasted good and fantastic and tonite, we will have more good. I am gaining some weight in the last few days......Have to watch out.

O yeah, one interesting event took place last nite. Natasha dreamt or sensed that my late dad or her grand-daddy came back and "visited' us.....something interesting yeah................

What A Busy Day

One of the busiest days during CNY. Taking Joyce and James around, showing around Penang, and then eating fried Koay Teow at Lorong Selamat, and ABC, Laksa, and moving around in Penang, and then back to BM. ANd then dinner at Tambun, great seafood, a form of family gathering........and then back home, rushing over to Old Town, meeting Ms. Ho and Ms. Ong,Fangfang, BC Ong, claire, Yihsee, yeemee other other team members of Acidchem............
And now back home, updating my blogsite.

The seafood we took at Tambun was quite nice and according to Nancy, the price was specially discounted by his nephew from Husband's side. During the CNY, the amount we paid was close to impossible, and we appreciate that, and I think it is good that we have chance to treat Joyce and James, a kind of warmth hospitality, which I like to offer them, and also as a form of family reunion dinner. Hope James likes that, as our guest here for the first time around.

Having this dinner, I miss my dad, and my youngest uncle, for not having the chance to be with us physically, but deep inside, I know they are watching from somewhere.

CNY-Gathering

I had two gatherings so far, and only one picture taken, the first group was with my friends, friends from secondary school time, of good friends......of best of friends...
Please see the attached picture attached above. going in clockwise direction, PohJen, Ai Leng, Cheesoon and myself.

Second gathering was with my fellow Tarcian friends, but no photo taken.

And on the first day, I took a full day vegetarian food, feel so great, and actually, also went to temple to offer prayers, for my late dad, and my seah cheak too.

Today, the second day, drove to my sister's place in Selayang and took too much ried food and now having pimples.
Met my two ex-colleagues/friends, and have lunch at Shangrila hotel.
Dim Sum was so good.

And now, back to Penang after staying two nites in KL, watching two movies.

Will update more accordingly.
