Today In Tokyo Then Osaka

This morning, I feel so glad to have the chance to experience the live and act like a Japanese. In the morning rush over, everybody walks so fast, towards every where. And for me, I walked coolly towards Shimbashi station going towards Tokyo station.
If you have been to Tokyo, then you know how many subways, and trains they have, and without the need to search for line after line, and using their subway card, it is very nice feeling, just like part of the local community, in the rush hours, walking towards the office. Except that I do not wear my suits like them, black and white, most of the times. You know I am always different.

And then this afternoon, rushed to Osaka and just had one of the best Okonoyaki, Japanese Pizza and some tepanyaki, very nice and good taste. I like it.

note: As i was was walking along the districts and looking at some elderly Japanese ladies, so, as usual, were nicely dressed and always look good. Some of them always like to dress and look young, even though they can be of my mother's age (if I still had one....). As I walked by, I was just wondering, how were they look like 20 years ago, what is in their mind. I am also looking at myself, and 20 years down the road, would I behave like that? How would the next generation and the next next generation think of me? What would be my life experiences by then.........what life stories do I have then................Many things come to my mind. that is perhaps life.....and age waits for no body................time passes, haha. But I think one important thing is life experiences itself, whether it is rich with lots of flavours...

My coach, Mr. Ron Price brought me many books and this is one of them that I am currently reading, and this again, tells me a lot of things that I have doubts or questions before. It teaches me a lot of things.....a very good book.

I shall write again once I finished reading this.

ANA_Beijing to Tokyo

Was using this flight, NH 956, to Tokyo this morning.
I ordered a vegetarian lunch, and by mistake, I think the air stewardess in charge was not careful, and instead of handing that to me, she gave it to the passenger next to me. I saw it, but thought that she might also be ordering the same, hence I kept quiet. A while later, another, may be more senior air stewardess realised the mistake, and she came and ask for permission to bring it away back to the serving pantry without realising I knew about it. The girl next to me have taken some of the food.
Then she tried to cover it up, and brought me part of the food, and apologize for being late, and stuffs like that. I was mad at her, because to me, that was cheating. She could have just came and apologise that they had given it to someone else by mistake. It is fine for me, but she did not. And she asked me to wait for a while, and will further investigate and shall serve later. I just kept quiet and after a while, I think the team leader realized the problem, and she came and apologize, and she brought some additional food fro Business class for me. I accepted it, because I think she did it the right way. I forgot the name of the purser, but I would like to thank her for her good customer oriented approach in solving the problems. Thanks, and I appreciate that. And because of you, I shall continue to use ANA.

李佳薇-Jess Lee (煎熬)

This girl, finally has released an album. I will get her album soon.
Listen to this song, and judge for yourself.

There is another version, full MV version, with scenes I think should not be seen by young children, so I did not include that version here, but I think seeing the MV gives you more of the real intention of the song, you can feel the meaning of the song more......emotionally:)

Steve Jobs

Just read in the news the passing away of Steve Jobs. A bit shock.
My his soul rest in peace. I like him, for his vision and being persistent in achieving what he believes in.
And I like I-Pad for sure.......

A Song I like-明天你好

Happy listening, read the lyrics.......

Shirakawa-Go

I just came back, the bus ride from Takayama-city to Shirakawa takes about 50 mins, and return ticket is JY 4300 yen. The ride is quite smooth, but you will have to pass by a lot of tunnels and one of them is very long, at least, in my opinion, close to 5km, but I didn't have the chance to find out the name of the tunnel.
Very nice to visit this place, and it is under World Heritage.....It reminds of the rumah atap we used to have back in the old days, but since this is more of cold winter with snow, there is a need for heat insulation. It also reminds me of some traditional houses in Switzerland.

There are many Taiwanese touring this area. And on the way back, there Chinese from Mainland, from Taiwan and from Malaysia (that's me), and it seems a bit funny, haha, that we are all in the same bus. I understood when the Taiwanese speak Mingnan yu, and the Mainland chinese understood when we all speak Mandarin......

This trip is quite nice, and this picture in mind, has finally come true....... I am happy and contented.

Takayama-Part 2

I kind of like this place, serene, calm......relaxing.
And last nite I slept for 9 hours, very good for me, for my exhausted body and getting older body....haha. Plus the Onsen, the spa....

And the whole thing about this hotel, they use tatami mat and it makes you really like going back to nature, like back in the old days, at your own home. Some westerners, I guess they feel a bit weird, of the need to walk "naked'......

Breakfast was good, I like it, except I forgot my socks. Ok, I am getting ready to Shirakawa-Go shortly, and shall update accordingly.

Ciao.

Takayama, Japan

And finally I am here for my short break. In fact, before this, I didn't know where this place is or why I would want to come to this place. I happened to watch a TVB8 documentary program and they happen to introduce this place, and then I decided to proceed with this. And Goh-San and his Mrs., Katherine helped me to arrange this and I appreciate it, and here I am.

Journey started from Tokyo, with Shinkansen to Nagoya, then with Hida line to Takayama, all together it took close to 3.5 hours.
And the hotel is quite nice, with the sauna, onsen and spa.
And I am tired now, after walking close to 3 hours around the city and more to explore accordingly.
After updating my blog for today, it will be my sleeping time soon.

Mount Fuji

It has always been one of my dreams to visit Mount Fuji or at least having a chance to view it closer. And my dream came true today, with my old friend from Malaysia, and now in Tokyo. He drove me to this place, and we departed together this morning, in a car. The journey took about 2 hours from Tokyo city. Traffic was good.
Were at the 5th step for some shopping and lunch and the went back to the foothill, and then went next to waterfall, named Shiraitonotaki, a very beautiful waterfall but were damaged slightly by the typhoon that came 2 weeks earlier.

Swimming In Tokyo-30 September 2011

Yesterday, I went for a swimming at Tokyo Metropolitan swimming pool for the first time. Need to pay JY 600 per entry, but not an issue, as I think the facility is worth is, clean and Olympic size pool. As it was on Saturday, and another pool was closed, the remaining one pool they have is very crowded. But what makes it interesting was that, even it was crowded, in the two lanes allocated, there was a proper q, and everyone was in the line to swim, in a very organised and proper order, in one direction, and making a U turn, and then into another lane, on the opposite direction. I feel very odd and the same time, good, that I am part of this "organised and disciplined swimming, in a Japanese swimming Pool.
