Lychee Or Strawberry?

Got a taste of this 'big' lychee, looks like rambutan size or big strawberries. Understood from friend, this comes from Hainan island, and is airfreighted. RMB 38/Kg.
It is tasty, delicious, sweet, and yummy, the best lychee I have tried so far. Normally, I do not lychee that much cause I am worried of the level of pesticides they used. But for this, the risk is worth taking, ehmmmmmmm.

Yummy, I like Lychee a lot. Sadly, the production of Lychee here has decreased over 50% due to previous flood.

The best Lychee here is called 玉荷包, because it grows in to the size of a small lady purse, and the fruit looks like a white jade when its skin peeled.

The best one from Hainan is called 妃子笑or 貴妃笑. The story was that the emperor of Tang dynasty 唐明皇 used to bring this Lychee all the way from Hainan with horse carriage (traveling day and night non-stop) to his palace just to please 楊貴妃, since his beloved concubine like to eat this Lychee very much.
