The Trip Back Home- JUne 2013

Coming back for my dad's 4th year passing away, offering prayers. Time passes fast, dad has passed away for more than 4 years....May you be peaceful always dad, you are always in our hearts.

Then, moving around in Penang, seeing all the properties, I think it is very expensive and in some projects, each unit price varies from one to another (though market demand decides the price), it is the first time for me to learn that prices varies from one unit to another (in the past corner units fetch higher prices, in between units should be quoted at the same price), but not the units I have seen recently. And every month prices vary.....
And moving around, many of them are holding the properties, and they are many waiting to sell off the properties.....Lets see what happens next.
And on the sales people's attitude and service rendered,  in one project we visited, the sales lady was very proud that they have fully sold the property, and my friend asked the sales lady why when they are fully sold, still they let customers come or there was no notice on this, and the sales mentioned "I did not invite you'......
And in another project, we asked when was the project launched, and the girl said, we did not launch the project, never launch it, all projects are mainly of returning customers....I am not sure what she is talking about actually.

But one thing I would like to compliment Penang state is that I see there are many on-going projects to improve the road conditions, irrigation systems, road widening, etc. And for many years BM town has never seen any projects like these, but I am have at least for now, there are many things happening, even the Bukit DO, the place I usually go for my evening walks, they are clearing it up, building a shed, and walkways and jogging tracks. That is good to see, esp. we have been waiting for these for the last 20 years...

This morning, while I was driving to KL, I heard the radio DJs mentioned that KL was listed as one of the 10 most "dangerous cities' in the world, I was shocked with that. I am not sure how they come to this conclusion, but I hope it would not affect our country's image that much. We need to attract tourists and we need to attract investors.........And I have been promoting heavily to our China colleagues on Malaysia, and with this piece of news, I think they will ask a lot of questions.

Another point is, I heard there are a few cases where open restaurants' guests have been attacked and robbed when they were dining. It seems very scary to hear this, and who will be going out for dinner, in this present condition........
Having based in China for 5 years plus, and visiting many cities, at least I have never heard of this kind of problems there. It is very safe. and I have told one friend who visited Beijing 2 years ago, I said, even if you carry a gold bar, walking on the street, no one is coming to rob you, or if someone dare to do that, within a few hours they will be caught as they have cameras every where.
I hope, if everything I read and heard through news are proven to be true, the present situation will improve further, and our policemen and our fellow Malaysian friends will work hand-in-hand to combat this serious problem for our country.

Thanks.
