The second important purpose of visiting this, after Monywa holysite, if to cross this bridge, known as Goteik Viaduct. We boarded the train from Pyin Oo Lwin (of course there are different stations you may choose to board, for example from Mandalay, but we didn't want such a long journey ride with the train, hence chooses PyinWoo Lwin, and everything turned out well. We got our tickets from our guide's father, who is the station master here, and everything was smooth from there onward. We have the best seats on the left hand side, single seat, but the best view when passing through the bridge. The train is a very old one, and toilet is also the very traditional type. And at each station you, a lot of local vendors will come up to the coach and sell their stuffs. You just buy what you want and east along the journey. Our friends provided with some home cooked noodles, which turned out to be very delicious.
For the train ride, you may take a look with this link.

when the Goteik Viaduct is in full view (about to pass through the bridge itself, that moment was very exciting and it's hard to describe that feeling, but you just felt very good that you made it. And the time of this trip was not the peak season, hence the train is not full with passengers, hence you feel more comfortable. And luckily the weather was good to us, as we have the cool air mostly throughout the journey except when we were about to reach Hsipaw (flat land) hence it become hot. The total journey from Pyin oo Lwin to Hsipaw is about 6 hours.
The view from the top of the bridge, it is a valley.
This train ride is really a joyride. Please try...
